Bon Odori Festival Returns to LaLaport BBCC August 2026
The annual Bon Odori festival returns to LaLaport BBCC on 1-2 and 8-9 August 2026, bringing four days of Japanese summer festival culture to Kuala Lumpur. The event takes place across the Rooftop Garden, LaLaport BBCC on Level 4 and WoW Plaza on the Ground Floor, with free admission for all visitors.
Festival Venues at Rooftop Garden and WoW Plaza
The festival spans two key venues at LaLaport BBCC, the Central Rooftop Garden on Level 4 and WoW Plaza on the Ground Floor. These spaces will host an authentic Japanese food bazaar, summer festival games, and a vibrant festive atmosphere across both weekends.
Bon Odori Dance and Cultural Performances
Bon Odori dance performances and traditional Japanese cultural performances form the heart of the festival programme. A bluefin tuna cutting show, live music, and stage performances are also scheduled across the four days, alongside an Acosta! cosplay appearance and performances.
