Capybara & Friends 8.0 at LaLaport BBCC on 4-5 July 2026
Capybara & Friends 8.0 is taking over LaLaport BBCC on 4 and 5 July 2026, from 2PM to 10PM at the Central Rooftop Garden on Level 4. The weekend event features live capybara encounters, competitions, DIY workshops, and live music for the whole family.
The Atrium Market Pop-Up
The Atrium Market at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre hosts the themed Capybara & Friends 8.0 pop-up, decorated with animal-themed cutouts including tigers, elephants, and giraffes. Wooden arches and greenery create an interactive, family-friendly experience within the mall's atrium area.
Inflatable Capybara Displays
Large inflatable displays include an orange capybara character holding an apple-shaped fruit and a smaller yellow cat figure beside it. The inflatables sit on the outdoor grass area near the mall's glass railings and café seating, adding to the festive atmosphere.
DIY Workshop Stations
DIY workshop stations offer bear-themed cutouts for coloring, sticker sheets featuring cartoon bears, and activity cards with colorful patterns. Participants can scan a QR code at the booth to collect rewards, and a clipboard with registration materials suggests sign-ups for organized activities.
Touch 'n Go eWallet Rewards
Touch 'n Go eWallet offers additional rewards at the event, with tanghulu-style red candies on bamboo skewers and a plush capybara toy holding a strawberry-shaped candy on display. Festive decor includes red cloth with gold Chinese characters for prosperity and tassels.
