HELLO JAPAN Discovery Zone at LaLaport BBCC, 1 to 9 August 2026
The HELLO, JAPAN! Discovery Zone takes place at Ground Floor, LaLaport BBCC on 1 to 2 and 8 to 9 August 2026, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM each day. Held in conjunction with LaLaport Bon Odori 2026, the event brings together representatives from JNTO, Japanese prefectures, and participating educational institutions under one roof. Visitors can explore destinations across Japan, from Hokkaido's spectacular landscapes and Fukuoka's renowned food scene to Ishikawa's rich heritage, Kumamoto's iconic landmarks, and the breathtaking beauty of Mount Fuji in Yamanashi.
Prefectures featured at the discovery zone include Hokkaido, Aomori, Shimane, Tottori, Fukuoka, and Kumamoto. Representatives from each region share information on new destinations, cultures, and opportunities for visitors to discover.
JNTO Discover JAPAN Booth
The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Kuala Lumpur team hosts a Discover JAPAN booth offering official Japan travel information and complimentary travel brochures at no cost. Attendees can receive destination recommendations across Japan and travel planning tips directly from JNTO KL representatives, covering both iconic cities and hidden gems.
Special Appearances During Bon Odori 2026
A series of special appearances is scheduled across the event weekends in conjunction with Bon Odori 2026. KLP48 performs on 1 and 9 August 2026 at 11:00 AM, while acosta! takes the stage on 1 August 2026 at 4:30 PM. SAYAKA YAMAMOTO appears on 8 August 2026 at 1:00 PM, and QUADLIPS performs on 9 August 2026 at 1:00 PM.
Discover Hokkaido
The Discover HOKKAIDO showcase highlights the prefecture's seasonal attractions, from snow-covered landscapes and cherry blossoms to autumn foliage and historic architecture. Visitors can learn about what makes Hokkaido a year-round destination through visual displays at the discovery zone.
Discover Ibaraki Prefecture
Ibaraki Prefecture features several notable attractions at the discovery zone, including Hitachi Seaside Park, JAXA Tsukuba Space Center, Ushiku Daibutsu (Great Buddha), and Fukuroda Falls. The showcase presents Ibaraki's mix of natural landscapes, cultural landmarks, and scientific sites.
The HELLO, JAPAN! Discovery Zone runs on 1 to 2 and 8 to 9 August 2026 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Ground Floor, LaLaport BBCC. Visitors can collect complimentary travel brochures from the JNTO booth while meeting representatives from Japanese prefectures and educational institutions throughout the event.
