Metrojaya used to be among my favourite places ever. Not anymore. It is now tired and old. Devoid of any innovation and creativity.

Latest branch to open within Lalaport. This departmental store currently covers only one floor. Expect to find your usual suspects of women, men and children clothing, as well as household and fashion accessories here. Place is nicely decorated and brightly lit, so browsing around shouldn't be an issue. Overall it was quite ok considering that everything can be found within the same floor.

Went to the shoe section to get shoes. The sales person was standing so still, she felt like a statue. I went up to a manager to ask if someone could help me find shoe size. I shortlisted a few pairs and it took the sales person 15 mins to find a size for me. Which one has size? I dunno. This one. Do you have other color? No. Is this leather? I dunno If only I could just self service in their store room.

I sat in a queue for nearly half an hour. Trying to buy something. The manager was laughing and joking with staff watching the queue. I know it’s the manager as I rang the store number and it went straight through to his ear piece, we had a conversation. Utterly ridiculous they left one poor girl working the till on Xmas eve, while the manager and his mate laughed at the queue.

Decent Department Store that only occupies one floor, matching the current climate of Department Store chain.

Nice department store, but I couldn't find any sales reps to buy what I needed at the jewelry section or the men clothing section. Seems either understaffed or the staff are slacking off

I haven't been to Metrojaya in a few years and pleasantly surprised there is a branch here. The department store has clothing, decor and many other items on a single floor. Staff were helpful and I managed to find clothing items I needed. The payment counter staff were also very friendly. Certainly worth a visit in the future.

Visited the new Metrojaya at Lalaport and its just ok-only, considering they want to brand it a lifestyle department store. The place is huge, but it still looks like any other Metrojaya concept. There is really nothing lifestyle about this place, except they have a brewed coffee area inside the store. Overall, they carry many of the same brand names, but maybe its they want to attract the current generation, they need to have more exciting brands. Right now, the brands are very commercial and safe. If you love department stores, this is worth a visit.

This store is akin to Aeon and Parkson, yet it struggles with low foot traffic across all branches. While they offer numerous discounts, there's nothing particularly noteworthy. It's puzzling how they remain in business.
