Disappointing.....various dishes we had were not salty enough. Only the preserved salted vegetables was tasty. Not sure if it was an off day for the cook ! Location is in busy area off Pudu road where parking can be difficult. The restaurant itself was bright and airy. Service was quick. Prices reasonable.

Foods tasted not so good like before which I tried few years ago.... Inside the shop is hot 🔥.....air conditioner system should be more improved.....

One of the item we took has turned bad too. To make it worst, it’s overpriced and defeat the purpose of having a simple porridge with small-plate dishes meal.

Best Teo Chew porridge in KL. Perfect for a cool rainy night. The fermented bean curd was great as was the salted egg. The pork 3 layer meat and the intestines were really yummy. The pumpkin was very tasty. Free street parking available.

Came here in the evening for dinner. They have porridge and rice, with a good variety of Teochew style dishes, mainly for porridge lovers. Food is cooked fresh. I had rice with some fried potato leaves (RM 7) which was ok. The vege was a bit oily for me. Also order a portion of duck drumstick (RM15). Duck was tender and well cooked. The flavor was just ok. I was hoping for more herbal taste, but tasted like braised in soy sauce only. When I was here, there wasn't much crowd. There are other popular dishes where I saw others ordered like braised tofu, salted vegetables, dace fish with black beans and more. Overall, good variety of dishes, and I felt the price was high. Parking is super difficult, one way is to park at Lalaport or TImes Square and walk over.

This is the best place to visit if you’re hungry at midnight, as they stay open until very late. I always come here for their suan la cai—I think it’s called sour vege soup in English. (Not sure haha) Overall, the food tastes good, leaning more toward a salty flavor profile rather than sweet, which I personally prefer. As for the environment, it’s not the best, but it’s still manageable if you are not too particular.

Always nice to have soul food on a rainy day! Parked by the road side, dashed through the rain and in we went. Was hungry so ordered dishes without thinking much. Two chew porridge depends on the flavor and taste of the dishes, as the porridge is tasteless. Loved every dish that I ordered, especially the choy bo egg, intestines and duck. Dishes were all tiny portion, so don’t worry if you’re a small eater. Total bill is RM46 including 2 porridge and 2 Chinese tea. Parking is always a hassle. Place is without AC, service is slow as the uncle had to scoop whatever dishes you order alone, it takes time so patient. 😁

Traditional Teo Chew restaurant in KL central. I would recommend to order the braised duck and preserved radish omelette. Feeling light and not too heavy for dinner. Really popular place and turnaround pretty quick.

Porridge came steaming hot! The garlic chili fish and braised duck is flavourful and on point! Don't recommend the curry chicken as it lacks flavours. It delivers well. The salted egg and peanut & anchovies are small portion for the price.

the food is good & the pork is not smelly, however the auntie who is in charge is rude. She scolded my dad when my dad want to pick some veggies by himself by using the provided spoon, turns out that the spoon cannot be mixed from one to other veggies but they only provided a few spoon. She could just ask politely instead of scolding the old man

Good food, chicken is very tender, vegetables have a nice flavor. Small plate is 4 RM, large 8 RM, pretty cool and cozy inside for a local restaurant. I doubt the owner will see my review but I would recommend covering the food at the serving station.

Still run by second generation. For some, Pudu used to be synonymous with Teo Chew porridge in the previous mid to late 20th century. Times have changed since the road realignment in Pudu. Newer shops have sprouted in other parts of the city. Meat cut varieties include braised duck, char siew, stewed pork belly, roast pork, black bean dace, etc.
