I managed to find out the secret ingredient for their creme brulee. Its a dead cockroach! What is more disappointing is their customer service, the chef approached us and mentioned it was not prepared by him, and conveniently put the blame on his colleague (who was not there, obviously). The waitress made us wait as she called the manager, whom which was not bothered to explain the situation, or express any empathy, and instead only offered to waive my half of the bill and a free scoop of vanilla ice cream to shut me up? What an utter disgrace, and a horrible customer experience! I would never recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy!

I want to eat steak so I came here. There is all day set menu and ala carte menu(ala carte is same as lucnh and dinner).
I ordered rib eyes steak 200g 88rm plus. Ummm.... Just ok. As this is not lunch set menu, the steak didnt come with rice, which is must in Japan. Quality of steak is soso. Not come back again.

First time here, not a busy restaurant unlike the others perhaps is already past 8pm. Decent food portions with a reasonable price. Service is good, although there is only 2 crew members running the whole restaurant.

Taste is similar and authentic to Japanese style. The yakiniku is tender and juicy. Nice quiet environment for relaxing lunch and dinner. Will return. Price is reasonable and if we compare to Sukiya for set lunches, Tamaruya is worth it.

Honestly as a picky eater, i don’t often make raving reviews but this place definitely deserves a LOT OF LOVE! Food is so good like so so good. Beef is tender and cooked to perfection. if you order the steak (i ordered the saikoro steak) fyi you can switch the fries to rice iykyk.
Does the place seem a bit empty / dead? Yes, but that’s lalaport for you but what really matter is, is the food good?!! And the answer is YESSS!
The price charged was definitely lower than the quality of food we had gotten, but bottomline is the food is so good!!!
Also, service is good, the Japanese lady was very attentive, if you didn’t get what you wanted you just need to communicate what you wanted - like chopsticks rather than silverware, change fries to rice bla bla.
Downside - menu is limited but that’s when you know it’s good, means they know what they’re good at! It’s better than a jack of all trades but master of none, cause they definitely mastered the Saikoro steak and Nikujaga.

Every time pass-by the restaurant and found they are not busy. The environment design a bit English feel and simple. Until I saw they having good value set lunch, so I give a try on their food.
The service is good and I had order the beef stew. The portion is not big and the rice is small, but that’s what I prefer. The food taste is great. Would like to try other food in other time.

Superb dining experience!
I ordered the Japanese wagu steak and my mum ordered the salmon from the Xmas special set.
The steak was perfectly cooked and the salmon was cooked with a crusty top and moist inside. Overall a lovely combination of flavours for all dishes served.
In regards to staff, super friendly and professional. The restaurant itself is clean and well presented.
Loved our Xmas dinner here. Thank you to the team for a memorable experience.

A little pricey and portions small but food is high quality and tasty . The mushroom soup is good. Angus beef with the mushroom sauce is nicely cooked . Had the Baramundi as well which was not bad . Restaurant was empty when we came so the food came out quick

We had been meaning to try this after having passed by several times and more often than not, we noticed it's not as popular as the other restaurants. The variety of the menu was quite limited but we went ahead and try it out. We were served the complimentary bread basket with balsamic vinegar and olive oil dip - simple dish but it's so much better than I had anywhere else. Sirloin doneness was made just right as I had requested and the meat was good & juicy just to eat it on it's own. Mushroom soup were creamy and flavourful with a good amount of mushroom bits for texture. Equally as good was the appetiser - Tamaruya Pie Tee... Overall the food did not disappoint at all!

A nice place to dine in, waitress are friendly and helpful. Tried the valentine set and Japanese wagyu, the wasabi sauce that accompanies the wagyu is a great match. The truffle mashed potatoes and toasted charcoal bread are the good side. Prices are medium high but worth the money paid for the quality.
