LaLaport BBCC Bon Odori 2026 Floor-by-Floor Guide
LaLaport BBCC presents Bon Odori 2026, Malaysia's biggest Japanese summer festival, on August 1-2 and August 8-9, 2026 (Saturday and Sunday). Admission is free, with activities spread across four floors of the Mitsui Shopping Park at Bukit Bintang City Centre. The festival features traditional Bon Odori dance performances, a Japanese Food Bazaar, cosplay events, artisan markets, and a lucky draw worth up to RM60,000. Event partners and sponsors include BIKA, THE LABS, TUAH, immersify, ZOO, TIF ASIA TOUR, and iCONIQ.
Level 4: Bon Odori Stage, Japanese Food Bazaar, and Acosta! Cosplay Event
Level 4 hosts the Bon Odori Stage at the Central Rooftop Garden, where traditional Bon Odori dances take place under a lantern-lit sky. The Japanese Food Bazaar spans the Main Atrium, East Atrium, and Food Court areas on this floor. The Acosta! Exhibition Hall on L4 serves as the venue for the cosplay gathering, with photo collages of cosplayers displayed to highlight the event.
Level 3: Mitsui Outlet Park BBCC 1st Anniversary with RM60,000 Lucky Draw
Level 3 celebrates the 1st Anniversary of Mitsui Outlet Park Bukit Bintang City Centre with exclusive shopping rewards and a lucky draw worth up to RM60,000. The anniversary celebration takes place at the Main Atrium on Level 3. Shoppers can explore stores including Daiso, iojima, GE, and Nitori while participating in the anniversary festivities.
Level 2: GoodDay Market Bon Odori Edition at ACG Base
The GoodDay Market Bon Odori Edition takes over the ACG Base on Level 2, featuring anime, manga, collectibles, merchandise, and creator booths. Level 2 also houses stores including 3COINS, babyshop, Sony Store, and Guardian. On Level 1, shoppers can find stores such as COME, FOS, MIX, VOIR, ED, MAX, GE, and babyshop, with a "MINI 50%" promotion visible near MAX.
Ground Floor: Yagura Stage, Japan Discovery Zone, Snack Fair, and The Labs Market
The Ground Floor serves as the festival's main hub. The Bon Odori Yagura Stage at WoW Plaza features live performances and dance sessions, with Starbucks nearby. The Hello! Japan Discovery Zone along the Common Walkway lets visitors meet representatives from Japanese prefectures and universities. The MiX Store Japanese Snack Fair at the Main Atrium offers a wide variety of popular Japanese snacks, candies, and instant treats.
The Labs Market and Play Bon Odori Edition, located on GF, features an artisan market, festival games, family activities, and immersive digital experiences through Immersify. Additional Ground Floor tenants include Metrojaya, Daiquiri, Burger King, Cafe Delight, and the Gourmet Street dining area. On Level 1, Global Village occupies Unit 02-03/04-05 and KTV occupies Unit 06-07.
