Loong Kee Hokkien Mee at LaLaport BBCC continues a remarkable 50-year culinary legacy that began in 1974 when Chef Tan, starting as a child laborer helping control hot burning coal fires, secretly self-taught himself to create authentic Hokkien Mee that would establish one of Kuala Lumpur's most respected Chinese noodle destinations. This LaLaport expansion brings the legendary flavors from their famous Jalan Pahang location to Malaysia's premier shopping mall, ensuring accessibility to traditional Malaysian Chinese cuisine within a modern retail environment.
The restaurant specializes in signature Hokkien Mee featuring wok-fried noodles with dark soy sauce, prawns, pork, and fish cake that showcase the smoky "wok hei" flavor essential to authentic Malaysian Chinese cooking, alongside their renowned Loh Shi Fun (clay pot noodles) and other traditional Chinese specialties. Each dish honors Chef Tan's five decades of cooking expertise and traditional preparation methods, ensuring customers experience the authentic flavors and techniques that made the original Jalan Pahang location a beloved late-night destination for noodle enthusiasts throughout Kuala Lumpur.
Located within LaLaport BBCC's diverse dining landscape, Loong Kee provides convenient daytime access to traditional Malaysian Chinese noodle excellence that complements the original location's famous midnight supper service (7pm-4am). The restaurant's presence within Southeast Asia's largest Mitsui Fudosan retail facility outside Japan makes authentic Hokkien Mee and traditional Chinese noodle craftsmanship accessible to families, tourists, and food enthusiasts seeking genuine Malaysian culinary heritage in the heart of Bukit Bintang's dynamic shopping district.

👎🏻 1) Overly salty Braised Yee Mee 2) Crew seems busy on the phone 3) Small portion

👎👎👎this is the worst Kuey Teow I ever had. Waste of money. There is not even one seafood in it, just bland. Waited for so long and when I it arrived it's cold👎👎👎 For 14RM price is should be good right❓I had for a price of 7RM outside and it's delicious. This is the typical food store that just want profit and not really serving a good food. I always love Kuey Teow but this store is just disappointing.

Ordered hokkien mee at RM16.90. the taste is so so, a little bit salty. The portion is small for me. I come from east Malaysia and there is less opportunity to have hokkien mee there. Therefore I would like to try it in KL. Totally no worth for me.

Taste like spoiled kuew teow, not sure the kuah or the kuew teow issue. Couldn’t even eat it more than 2 scoop🫠 …

I've never ordered kuey teow or Mee or any noodles. I usually order chicken and rice from here. Chicken is okay but their rice(white rice)is always soooo DRY... How hard is it to make white steamed rice??? The quality of the rice is cheap too. It's strange that a restaurant doesn't know how to make rice.

wins by default late, by outlasting competition. that by itself gets it hungry-man gratitude. hokkien mee has highest verisimilitude given halal preparation. looks and smells authentic getting to table. crunchy and chunky bits would of course be different, but still very good. and not even in spite of. so objectively good, well beyond hungry-man threshold.

I've ordered hockkien mee. Not my taste, there is a tiny bitter taste of the black soy sauce. But the rest is great, mee and chicken meat texture are good, prawn is fresh. Price RM16.90 .

Located at food court Lalaport Bukit Bintang. Orderes their hokkien mee and herbal tea. Taste so authentic and good despite Muslim friendly. Food court at Lalaport Bukit Bintang not crowded so it's suitable for those introvert people.

I been here several times and what made me so impressed was, no pork no lard hokkien mee was so delicious. Also their Kimchi fried rice is superb. Will definitely visit again.

price:rm15.90 Menu:Hokkien mee Taste: A basic taste for hokkien mee maybe should put any adds on this menu eg: sunny side up eggs or lime. a little sourness can help us to finish the mee.
